Evaluation & Medication Management

Dr. Hanita Chhabra, M.D.

I am proud to have been born and raised in the area. After completing medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, I initially started my training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I later changed to Psychiatry and completed my training at the University of Pennsylvania in 2006. I am a board certified adult psychiatrist with subspecialty certification in psychosomatic medicine. I was a consulting psychiatrist at Sheppard Pratt Hospital and Greater Baltimore Medical Center for 5 years before moving to Anne Arundel County. These experiences helped solidify my comfort with prescribing medications for a variety of psychiatric illnesses, especially in complex cases and in combination with medical issues.

My practice focuses on psychiatric consultation and medication management, and TMS. This includes but is not limited to, diagnosis, designing a treatment plan, second opinion consultations, prescribing and managing medications, and legal expert opinions. Areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, geriatrics, and medical illness. Special interests include womens mental health and TMS. TransCranial Magnetic Stimulation is a cutting edge treatment alternative for patients with depression and chronic pain/headaches who either do not respond to or are unable to take antidepressants,

Kathy Holian, PA-C Annapolis Office

Southern Maryland has been home to me for most of my life. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a focus on pre-med studies and obtained a second bachelors degree from the George Washington University while completing my training as a physician assistant. I obtained my masters degree in PA studies from the Medical University of South Carolina. Addiction medicine has been a significant focus of my career for more than twenty years and provided a fitting segue into psychiatry which I have enjoyed for more than four years. I was also fortunate to practice in occupational medicine, internal medicine and pain management. I worked part-time for many years, as raising my four children was my primary full-time job. My practice focuses on psychiatric consultation, prescribing and managing medications, and making referrals for psychotherapeutic treatment and TMS evaluation. Dr. Chhabra is readily available for consultation, and when appropriate, will assume care of specialized cases.

Yael Schreiber, PA-C Columbia Office

I am a certified Physician Assistant with a Bachelor of Science Degree in PA Studies from Touro College. After completing my training in 2006, I began my career with work in Pediatrics, General Surgery and surgical specialties. Following that, I spent over four years practicing Physical Medicine and Rehabiliation at a busy Baltimore practice. My longtime interest in psychiatry, psychology and psychopharmacology led me to transition to My Mental Health in 2015.
I consider it a privilege to participate in a practice that offers such cutting-edge modalities as TMS, genetic testing, and both group and individual psychotherapy. My role is to provide safe and effective medication management of psychiatric conditions. I am committed to doing so with respect, compassion, and attention to each patients particular needs and circumstances.
